Viewing PDF Files in Porteus-1.1.474 (32-bits KDE4)

Here is a place for your projects which are not officially supported by the Porteus Team. For example: your own kernel patched with extra features; desktops not included in the standard ISO like Gnome; base modules that are different than the standard ISO, etc...

Viewing PDF Files in Porteus-1.1.474 (32-bits KDE4)

In order to open PDF-files you will need 2 additional xzm-modules: okular-4.7.4 and poppler-0.16.4. Both can be downloaded from http://wread.4shared.com. I put okular in modules/kde4/ and poppler in modules/deps/.

Okular can open a large variety of files, not only pdfs. So I think it is a must-have.

Enjoy! :D
Porteus is proud of the FASTEST KDE ever made.....(take akonadi, nepomuk and soprano out and you will have a decent OS).
