I finally got it!
It turns out that no crippled-sources are needed to compile the nvidia-drivers on porteus 3.0. I used cheatcodes from /boot/syslinux/porteus.cfg to boot-up porteus in always-fresh- and textmode. Then I ran the nvidia-installer NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-384.69.run and finally
used the script nvidia.sh from here (together with the .tar.bz2-file mentioned in the tutorial).
Maybe kernel-headers are bundled within the devel-package? Anyway, I got a working nvidia-384.69-package for porteus-3.0!

Remaining problems:
Even though I have a high screen-resolution and the logs report a loaded nvidia-driver, the system "hangs" every couple of seconds for about 1-2 seconds. glxgears were very slow (~60 fps) until I unchecked the option "sync to vblank", in the nvidia-settings. I now have about 11.000 fps in glxgears but still a system with "hiccup".
Also, playonlinux complains about missing opengl (both 32 bit and 64 bit). USM reports mesa was installed. Is there still somethin missing on my system?

just one point, the script you used was made for a 4.x kernel.
At least this line:
echo Lib folder cleaning...
rm -f lib/modules/4.*/* &>/dev/null
has to be adjusted for the 3.x kernel.
Have you already tried Blaze's nvidia.sh script?

just noticed that the script I used propably was from another tutorial. I just don't know anymore which one. In addition, I also changed some lines. Here is the nvidia.sh I did use in fact:
Before execution, nvidia.tar.bz2 needs to be copied to /tmp/. Also porteus needs to be booted in always-fresh-mode AND text-mode with the file blacklist.xzm in the /base-folder.
The cheatcode for text-mode, porteus-from-RAM AND always-fresh is:
...and needs to be put into the bootloader's config-file. I use grub4dos and the full command there is different than in syslinux. So posting the full line makes no sense since syslinux is the official porteus-loader.

hi, mr_hero,why you do not try this,in a clean porteus run the nvidia installer until you have the driver on, also answer yes to install the 32 bit libs,if you have the browser open you have to close it, after one minute run the script located in /opt, save changes,and you have the nvidia driver full version in tmp,i don't remeber but you have to make a xzm of this directory,blacklist noveau put the xzm on the modules directory and try if work. i have the same video card and work well. remeber that video driver follow the kernel version so if you change kernel you have to reinstall the driver.

@beny this is exactly what I did. Even the question for 32-Bit driver appeared on the screen (I answered "yes", of course). So...thank you for the help. At least I now know that opengl "should" work out of the box. I was afraid some libs were missing on my system. Didn't you need to install mesa in addition?
I thought of trying newest porteus as 3rd operating system on my computer, just to test it. But it turns out that there is no 340-driver-module out there, as well. So I wouldn't have proprietary nvidia-drivers for newest porteus as well.
I didn't mention my windows-problems with the card, since this is a linux-forum: The windows-drivers are buggy as hell. I tried four different versions and all of them cause a bluescreen at bootup. When booting up with deactivated driver and manual activation the graphics card runs just fine.
All this tells me that nvidia has problems programming proper drivers. I'm trying to buy an older graphics card now. Maybe this will help, though gtx 560 also was a card from nvidia.

002-xorg -> Xorg 1.19.3 + Mesa 17.1.0 + plugins, try if this fulalas module work for you, remove the old 002.xzm module first, but my card work well with this driver, so yours too, for windows version this not work for you 385.41 WHQL,for the build of driver you need the devel .xzm and the crippled kernel.xzm of the kernel that you use.

Sorry for late reply. I was very busy the last days.
I tried porteus 3.2.2...and...wow ...it really is better than 3.0. All the little annoying bugs are fixed (vanishing desktop, sound-card-bug, etc) and up to now EVERYTHING is just working out of the box. Even my usb-sound-interface doesn't need any driver-installation. 340-Nvidia-drivers work like a chamr, of course.
Think changing to porteus 3.2.2 is really the best thing to do. Migration will become a pain for me. Wait...is the konsole really preconfigured to show colors? Unbelievable! Some little tweaks are still neccesary of course: Window-effects and decoration are a bit "too awesome" for me. I need classic-look whereever possible. Seems kde5-support is limited here. Also: Different wallpaper per desktop is gone (was possible in porteus 3.0).

I finally got a gtx 560 ti and replaced my gt 740 with it. I now have trouble running wine and playonlinux because of the 32-bit libraries. I first tried 0050-multilib_current-x86_68.xzm which were recommended in some thread, here.
Afterwards, I just tried the old compat32-libs (compat32-libraries-3.0-x86_64-1sl.xzm) from my old porteus. Now playonlinux complains about missing 32-bit-opengl-files. Suggestions?

The 304-driver is not working with my 560 ti. I tried both drivers: Yours and the one from the porteus-server. In both cases I get a black screen on kde-start.
Back on porteus 3.0, the old 340-drivers are working like a charm with the new card
