Why only ONE browser?

New features which should be implemented in Porteus; suggestions are welcome. All questions or problems with testing releases (alpha, beta, or rc) should go in their relevant thread here, rather than the Bug Reports section.

Why only ONE browser?

Post#1 by angry1 » 27 Apr 2014, 18:53

Why must I choose from only one browser when I can have a billion on Windows?! Can you please include oh please please oh nerd "gods", oh I begs and petition your great selves to include Amaya, Epiphany, Konqueror, Swiftweasel, Kazehakase? Or are you too high with your high thoughts and busy with your great goddy deeds of other nerd stuff?

Bye nerds, Windows rules.

@angry1
you can compile your favorite browsers and make modules for Porteus :D .

Viruses rule Windows :good:
Porteus is proud of the FASTEST KDE ever made.....(take akonadi, nepomuk and soprano out and you will have a decent OS).
The Porteus Community never sleeps!

You can have as many as you please on Porteus.
Can you please include ... (insert rarely used browsers)
We won't include these in the build wizard as (by way of majority) we only include the most used browsers. You may use the package manager to download whatever browser you wish.
Or are you too high with your high thoughts and busy with your great goddy deeds of other nerd stuff?
In fact this is exactly it (minus the 'goddy' thing). We each have real lives to attend to which sometimes take priority over working hard to produce a completely FREE operating system for YOU. We look for ways to minimize maintenance and adding these rarely used browser is the job of the package manager (which was a lot of work to present to you free).

Your tone is insinuating that we don't do enough. If you can provide something useful for the community then please do so. If all you are going to do is complain (ALL your posts are just complaints) that we don't include this or that and we are not enough like windows, then remove Porteus and go and use windows to update your blog (yeah i read it a little. Rather shocking).
How do i become super user?
Wear your underpants on the outside and put on a cape.

Come on guys. You're being too hard on her. Show some compassion for someone with little trying to grow.
