VideoLan 1.1.13 for Porteus 1.1 final

Post#1 by wread » 14 Jan 2012, 21:32

Translated from Slackware, downloaded from Bob Alien, it can be downloaded from http://wread.4shared.com. Please download both the vlc-1.1.13 and the vlc-mozplugin-1.1.13.
It also works ok in the 32-bits version (unofficial) of kde4.

Enjoy!

Edit: This is the basic version only. If you miss any desired additional functionalities, you can run vlc in debug mode to search the missing plugin you may be needing. Just open a konsole and tip vlc -vvv.

It should be noted that this is for 64bit Porteus or 32bit with wreads KDE4 modules. It requires qt4 which is not included with 32bit edition by default.

@brokenman
It is really so. If you have any other application using qt4, then VLC works ok. I have the HPPrinter group installed in v1.1 Trinity and it works ok. The HPPrinter group is posted in mediafire already.
