This is a very good introduction to your venue on the porteus forum.
Thanks.

Thank you very much. The version of Chrome that comes with the build your ISO is getting a bit old.
I run on a FAT USB, Always Fresh.
I think I had to rename it to 04-chrome.xzm after I placed it in /porteus/base
Did I really have to? Do you know why?

For those wanting to build their own bleeding edge browser, while qpalzm retaliates, see:

google-chrome and chromium:
http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php? ... ome#p42807 #see post of brokenman
http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=5573 #see post of slaxmax

firefox:

Code: Select all

usm -u all
usm -g firefox
usm -g flash #to have a functional flash player
ln -sf /usr/lib64/mozilla /usr/lib/mozilla

Thank you qpalzm. Your chrome module works for me. :good: The one I downloaded from USM did not.

I did not rename it but I didn't have chrome as my default browser, I have firefox.

Hi qpalzm. Do you have a version of this module with a more current flash version included?
