PlayOnLinux v.4.2.5 - Install and use Windows-programm

Post#1 by PaulBy » 18 Oct 2012, 21:16

Hello :)
If you really want to install the program or play the game, made under Windows, I suggest last version packages PlayOnLinux and Wine with all dependences:

PlayOnLinux v.4.2.5 - https://www.dropbox.com/s/31yembzn76g4q ... -x64-1.xzm
Wine v.1.7.26-x64 - https://www.dropbox.com/s/q48d5yqooh7pt ... Mono-1.xzm

Enjoy, but be careful 8)

Isn't Play on Linux a "commercial" (=supported) edition of Wine?
Anyway if you like any of them, you'd better stay on Windows!
Why Linux? Viruses will attack your wine installation as well...
Porteus is proud of the FASTEST KDE ever made.....(take akonadi, nepomuk and soprano out and you will have a decent OS).
The Porteus Community never sleeps!

1.0 Have you used playonlinux to go on itunes? I was thinking of using it to download some french films, hoping they have a good variety.

2.0 I imagine that we will have to wait for compat32 for porteus 2.1?

3.0 Would there be playonlinux and wine for 32 bit?

Thanks. :)

Great! :D

You should make a thread presenting the overall modules that you provide in the general section. 8)

Hi PaulBy,
Have you got any experience using wine for windows anti-virus/anti-spamware/registry cleaning tools?

I'm looking for some interesting tools that can be used to repair/clean windows computers..
(see the GAD4PU Disk - community effort thread)

Kind regards
