compat32-libraries-3.2 -5.0

x86_64 modules made by tomecompat32-libraries-3.2-x86_64-2017-10-27-tm.xzm (46 MB) module is available here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gdzuwmrramlv ... kfYbZMrUra
It is built like old compat32-libraries-3.0-x86_64-1sl.xzm (from dl.porteus.org/x86_64/archive/Porteus-v3.1/extras/). I have used compat32-libraries.SlackBuild Written by Matteo Rossini ( zerouno@slacky.it ) from this module with some my modifications.

Larger (available 32bit packages) module is here: http://distro.ibiblio.org/fatdog/sfs/72 ... 64_710.sfs (81 MB) but after download add .xzm suffix.
EDIT: Newer: http://distro.ibiblio.org/fatdog/sfs

Above packages work in Slackware 14.2 (Porteus v3.2).

Another way to have 32bit inside x86_64 is to add i586 core.xzm and i586 xorg.xzm to modules loaded at boot, but they must be loaded before x86_64 core and xorg and some errors may occur (gdk-pixbuf; maybe run update-gdk-pixbuf-loaders command?).

v3.0 = 72MB
v3.2 = 46MB

Why the v3.2 is so small, are there many packages that have been removed?

Thanks for your great job.
Sorry, my English is bad.

Differences in packages between created by me compat32-libraries-3.2 and old compat32-libraries-3.0 (# - not included in 3.2; + - added in 3.2; rest is the same; ## - comments):

Code: Select all

#cups
#cxxlibs
##(cxxlibs is now part of aaa_elflibs?)
#udev
#mariadb
#sqlite
#guile
#libtool
#python
#alsa-oss
##(alsa-oss and other sound related packages maybe should be added?)
#expat
#gd
#gnome-themes-standard
#jasper
#libart_lgpl
#libdbusmenu-qt
#libelf
##(libelf is replaced with elfutils)
#libiodbc
#libjpeg
##(libjpeg is replaced with libjpeg-turbo)
#libmpc
#qt
#seamonkey-solibs
#svgalib
#t1lib
#openldap-client
#libFS
#libXevie
#xmms
#libtasn1
#gc
#libunistring
#gstreamer
#seamonkey-solibs
#gst-plugins-base
+elfutils
+libjpeg-turbo
+libxshmfence
+glibc
Full list of packages used to build is in the same address like module.

I tried running FoxitReader-1.1-i386 (32bit) via terminal and got this error message:

error while loading shared libraries: libcups.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

It works for me, libcups.so.2 is contained in aaa_elflibs. Try in Always Fresh Mode.

I've uploaded compat32-libraries-5.0-x86_64-2022-06-26-tm.xzm (100 MB slackware 15.0) but compat32-libraries-3.2-x86_64-2017-10-27-tm.xzm (46 MB slackware 14.2) still works in 15.0 environment. Build script is in /usr/doc/compat... Link in first post. Deactivating works for these modules.
