MPV vs VLC

Post#1 by Bogomips » 17 May 2017, 23:42

@fulalas Have come across a video which mpv can't play, but vlc can! Plays 40' video in under 10' , freezes 3 times with long jumps in between.

@fulalas Gladly, but have very low upload speed on top of which the cloud also has low upload rate. However can download from here https://openload.co/f/hc7zDqFrC_U/Shado ... -FLEET.mkv (One of those sites with ads threatening of the dire conseqences of not using their vpn services.) 8)

@Bogomips, with SMPlayer 17.4.2 + Mpv 0.25 + FFMpeg 3.2.4 = your video runs flawlessly :)

Yep, same thing!

Code: Select all

guest@porteus:~/Downloads$ md5sum ./Shadowhunters.The.Mortal.Instruments.S02E04.HDTV.x264-FLEET.mkv.mp4
6fb1af726e84740a83a4f30cf3940618  ./Shadowhunters.The.Mortal.Instruments.S02E04.HDTV.x264-FLEET.mkv.mp4
What's the error when loading this video with Mpv? And what's your Mpv/FFMpeg version?
