Distro hopping - Do you Distro hop?

I have Mint on my regular machine, however, I have Wyse Thin Client rig that has a 1gig flash memory card that I have been experimenting with and trying out Linux light distros. I tried several before coming to Porteus and then I was having 'update' issues with Porteus - I posted here on the forum and missed the responses coming back to me for the fix - I then left and tried Puppy - it installed and updated itself, but when I tried it install Wine, I could not get Wine to run so I could use my APRS program. I stopped by the Porteus forums and found the replies to my 'update' post and have since returned to Porteus (I like it the best over the other light distros I have tried. I am now going to work through the 'update' process and then try Wine.
