Openvpn & DNS Leakage

Post#1 by Bogomips » 11 Sep 2015, 11:52

Still have DNS Leakage. The only things I know of that could be doing this are the browser and the software used to connect to time server. Or is it due to using ISP's DNS servers? (According to my reading here, it's only supposed to happen under Windoze.) :unknown:

Which DNS servers are shown...your ISP servers?...(This should not be.)
If not:
Maybe that your VPN service is either not performing the DNS resolution properly,
or possibly that it uses public DNS servers.
This is not unusual, and is not a major problem as the DNS request is made from the VPN server, not your real IP address.
DNS requests are usually handled by your ISP, but when using VPN they should be handled by your VPN provider instead.
