I have tried to make kuickshow the default viewer for jpg images by right-clicking the image > open-with > other.. > kuickshow and remember application association. However, next time I click a jpg file, still gPicView (default Image Viewer) opens the file.
Can I change this file association by some other way ? I am using porteus v09, 32 bit.

Re: kuickshow not becoming default viewer
If I recall correctly, V09 was put out before update-desktop-database was added to the start-up process, which might be part of your problem.
Try opening a console and running 'update-desktop-database', and then try right clicking to set and remember the association. If that still doesn't work, then play around with /root/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list to see if you can set kuickshow as the default for jpg's.
