DTP Recommendations

Post#1 by Bogomips » 27 Aug 2014, 14:59

Ran Scribus under Mint. Would appreciate suggestions for Porteus, and in particular kde compatible. Thanks.

This is a very short post. What is the exact question here about scribus?

Hi francois

I was wondering if Scribus might be possible here on Porteus. Or if maybe there are some other good Desktop Publishing programs, with the same funcionality as Scribus, and just as easy to use.

As slaxmax pinpointed, there is a lot of additional packages with dependencies provided by usm no sweat. When that is not the case pkgs.org slackware 14.1 is often really handy. 8)

Thanks. It would be interesting to hear from others of their experiences using other packages as well.

It seems that libreoffice and lyx would Desktop publishing softwares (DTP) too:

Really, I do not make a very extended use of libreoffice. Sorry.
