Porteus

The boot splash is the image shown on screen while porteus loads, instead of having the text scrolling down the screen. These are my submissions keeping with the 'god of the sea' theme, please feel free to post one of your own.

i like the second one (wild west of the sea), wonder if there is one for shark tux.

how about the globe on top of the shark?? better still the globe on top of tux so we change our name to pinglas???

diver now is a black ninja 8)

@ponce n brokenman if tilted a bit more to the left so the foot on the top ft corner n the shark fin/body at the bottom left corner would be symetrical.
personally still prefer wild west of the sea shift a bit to the right for a better views of the options.

@blaze maybe the KDE explaination +15% darker almost unreadable on my LCD.
hate to see this if put on polls (another unnerving waiting).

My submissions were more for the loading splash ... the screen you stare at instead of the text rolling down the screen. That's why i didn't bother with making room on the left side. I'll re edit them for a boot menu splash as you suggest. At the very least we will have a menu splash for the next 2 releases!!

Blaze that look great! Even the 'out of place' light on the bottom of the globe doesn't look bad. One would expect the light to be on top ... but i like it a lot.

Hello.
I downloaded the alpha version of the distribution Porteus.
I do not like the background image loading screen. Last month, a shark attack on tourists in Egypt, several people were killed. So I think the image of the shark is not suitable.
Does not fit all, any picture, should be an image. Picture looks bad on the big screens.
I prefer the option proposed by Blaze. But I would have removed the diver. A logo Porteus and text made of the same color, or rather one of style.
I'm not an artist and this is just my opinion.
