few questions ?

hello,

After a long time Windows user and several linux distro's I think im ready to come back to Porteus.
Now I have 2 questions

1) Can Porteus work on Docker or on WSL2 ?
2) if 1) is yes, Can I help somewhere with packaging or testing things ?

How do you boot your other distros on your systems? I boot Porteus ISOs on Windows using grub2, if that helps. Is your Porteus on a USB drive or your harddrive?

Unless you plan on downloading a bunch of stuff the USB stick doesn't need to be that big. My 32 GB USB stick has only 5 GB used.

Be sure to read the USB_INSTALLATION.txt file in the ISO you download.

I do not think so,
Im have downloaded the cinnamon one and maybe im going to try the KDE one.
And with downloading it also depends on which packages i can work on

but maybe first better to get again familair with everything.

So if I do not get the info how to update a package and which packages I can work on I cannot do anything

Well Porteus is based on Slackware so packages need to be based on Slackware also. Read this thread Need audacity 3.4.2 and its dependences for how a package process was worked thru.

There are many other package threads you can review in this section of the forum: x86_64 xzm module requests.
