File managers can't read device labels

Post#1 by fulalas » 22 May 2017, 08:17

I'm trying to fix a dialog error when plugging a smartphone/camera with Libgphoto2 and I've finally managed to figure it out! I don't need Libgphoto2, but just a Gvfs update. The problem now is that file managers (both Thunar from Xfce and Pcmanfm-qt from LXQt) can't read device labels anymore; I only see 'sdxx'. I'm using these modules (direct conversion from Slackware ftp), so you can test (need to put them inside 'modules' folder and reboot):

Do you guys have any idea of how to get device labels to be shown again?
