This option is handy for letting a user know that a click on a desktop icon was successful but the length of time the notification shows is extremely long. Is there a setting to control how long the notification appears?

Not sure if there is a bug as i've noticed that sometimes it vanishes quickly and other times it's hung around for ages long after something has been started?
