With the great help of your DEV team, i got my ver5.1Cinnamon working perfectly with OPENVPN, (after reboot all remembered)
BUT when i switch to RAM only it loses all my settings.
What i am doing wrong

so what you need to do is edit <your_usb>/boot/syslinux/porteus.cfg and add "copy2ram" (no quotes) to the APPEND line of the first boot entry where your "changes=" cheatcode is.
alternatively, add your "changes=" to the APPEND line of the copy to ram boot entry.

not a cheatcode, but in porteus.cfg line 2 is TIMEOUT 90 .. if you change that to TIMEOUT 0 the menu might appear very briefly.
i think if you comment(#) line 3 (as well) it won't appear at all:

ah, yes, didn't think of that.. probably 1 would do, for anyone wondering.
but yes, disabling the UI vesamenu.c32 is what you needed.
