After brokenman proposal, this is the place to report the bugs on the nemesis version 3.5 for kde5.
Thanks.

1) The missing wallpaper is still a mystery to me.
2) Baloo occasionally crashes but I believe this is an upstream bug.

My attached Logitech USB mouse and keyboard do not function under nemesis, though at the same time these functions work my MSI-340-x laptop. With porteus 3.1 the formers will function correctly.

Ethernet will not work, that is no internet connection for that Linux box.

On another Linux box Ethernet and another logitech USB mouse a keyboard will work.

Code: Select all

root@porteus:~# lsusb
...
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 046d:c52b Logitech, Inc. Unifying Receiver

The MSI 340X laptop battery has swollen and made a bump on the keyboard. I had to remove the thing before it explodes. So forget about that box until I decide to buy and install a new one.

Thanks.

@aus9:
Late response from my part, but nonetheless a response. I do not have that problem on my other box.

Thanks.

Very good experience.

Unable to get out of the media player application. :(

Unable to install pager.
You have to go in system settings - desktop to set the number of desktop.

Weird things going on the desktop, with error messages for kde, have to close the session to reinstore normal functioning. But after rebooting everything is fine.

Loading of software seems to be delayed compared to kde of porteus 3.1 but even more delayed compared to nemesis xfce.
As I am in vbox, this might be the reason.

Once and a while a Kde message in a dialog box:

Code: Select all

Sorry plasma shell closed unexpectedly...
... segmentation fault.

I am eager to test additional packages. I might do this on my own inspired by fanthom`s selection on porteus 3.1.

Here is what I suggest for nemesis kde5 plasma based on porteus kde 3.1:
pman -S yaourt gwenview simple-scan xsane k3b vlc simplescreenrecorder kdegames
pman -S libreoffice manjaro-printer system-config-printer leafpad kwrite galculator[/code]

Then with octopi yaourt get:
great-little-radio-player

32-bit nemesis 3.5 KDE

I am finding that the KDE 32-bit nemesis 3.5 is a bit heavy on the CPU.

The CPU runs at about 67 - 68% usage
kded5 accounts for 23%
baloo file extr accounts for 25%

konsole freezes, there is no way to move the window around. The minimize and maximize and close buttons are no more there. At times, the whole system with plasma message errors.

Rebooting resolves the problem.
