The immediate solution would be to logout. Then you can enter your root login details.
You can also change the autologin= line in /etx/lxdm/lxdm.conf and then place it (preserving the path) in your rootcopy folder.

With persistent mode what is needed is autologin=guest line in /etx/lxdm/lxdm.conf to be changed to
autologin=root

Hello guys, I have one question and one request:
1. Do you notice heavy lags on Firefox? I.e. scrolling with the wheel of the mouse on a generic web page (for example google result of a query);
2. Is there a way to get multilib on Porteus Nemesis? I would like to compile Android and I need compat32-libs like in Porteus style environment.
Thank you always, in general way I like the new Arch-system ;-)

When re-opening the lid on my netbook, sometimes Porteus 3.3 doesn't come back. No password prompt, nothing but a blank screen. Powering off/on is the only thing that works.

Hi beny, I just read a similar wiki but when I type the command "pman -Syu", the package manager would download/upgrade lot of packages.
It would be very useful to know what multilib integrates "inside" so I can download 32-bit packages on a 64-bit OS.

Nemesis will come out with a 32 bit once 64 bit testing is complete, if that helps

Thank you for the reply, but do you refer to a new ISO 32-bit or to a module that will bring 32-bit libraries on x86-64 Porteus Nemesis?

Ok for a 32-bit ISO but I need a 64-bit environment with multilibs in order to compile Android stuff.
Other dependencies/packages are just solved thanks to pman.
This evening I will try again ;-)

Are you sure it is freezing and not locked? Try typing your password when the screen is black and tell me if a blue circle appears momentarily. It is using i3lock to lock the screen.

I left some time before presenting these issues which might be better placed into other threads:
1) I am unable to boot into xorg with xfce4 module that I have built from the base environment without 003-lxde.xzm:

2) I am unable to get internet from vbox and the shared folders will not work:
