Some Nemesis-v22.08 adaptations

Post#1 by francois » 05 May 2023, 01:32

Coming back to nemesis after a few years without usage, there seems to be some adaptations. This could be the place to do so.

Here is a first question:
Under porteus it is possible by changing lxdm.conf to autologin root or guest in the xfce environment. How does one do that under Nemesis?

Thanks.

Hi again.

Now that I am feeling better, I am completing a rewrite of my former remastering Nemesis Howto.

I will try to turn it into a guidebook from A to Z with the help of all interested parties.

easy way: as with porteus, you can use the login=root cheatcode at boot time.
technical way: edit /etc/conf.d/agetty.tty1 line 8: agetty_options="--autologin=guest" to agetty_options="--autologin=root"
this file is in 003-xfce.xzm if you want to make it permanent.
there is an updated nemesis in the works, but it likely won't be this month.
