Publication of genealogical information

Hello,
What are the possibilities of Porteus Kiosk to publishing my website ( see: http://alf4all.demon.nl/cgi-bin/framed/ ... /index.htm ) with genealogical information ( > 50GB ) on a HD via USB? The website is now running on an Ubuntu server with Apache, Perl and PHP. To secure the website for the future I want to make some identical backups that are approachable via an integrated Porteus Kiosk, HTTP-server, HTTP-client ( full screen presentation ).
1. Is Porteus Kiosk a/the ( good/best ) solution?
2. Does anyone have experience with such a presentation?
3. What is the procedure/steps to come to such a deployment?
4. Is it possible also to compress the site information ( cgi-bin, HTML etc. )?
