Upgrade Firefox to Current Version

Using v.3.6.0 setup wizard and it downloads Firefox v.38. Need to upgrade Firefox to current v.43.0.4 for compatibility with website vendor. I've done a lot of reading and found some older posts but couldn't find anything specific to just the Firefox upgrade. Not looking to add any add-ons or other modules. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

Maybe you could cheat and update just the browser user agent? this option is available in the wizard:

Code: Select all

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:43.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/43.0

Fanthom,

What is the process to execute the command from the GUI wizard? Thank you.

I was referring to this parameter:
http://porteus-kiosk.org/parameters.htm ... user_agent

You can set custom user agent through the wizard. No need to run any cli command.

Fanthom,

Got it. I'll try that workaround. Thanks.

Nope, didn't work. Still receive popup stating Browser is not supported. Dang.
