Time Limit for users?

Here you can post about the issues related to modifications performed manually (not through the kiosk wizard). Example: swapped kernel, added 3rd party modules or files.
Please describe in detail what has been changed and hopefully other kiosk user will be able to help.
Porteus team wont resolve bugs posted in this category as we support only modifications made by the kiosk wizard.

Time Limit for users?

Post#1 by csydas » 22 Apr 2015, 16:07

Hello all,

We've just begun using Porteus on our campus for open access machines and so far are loving it. We were curious if there was a module or means of setting a hard time limit for resets to run concurrently with the inactivity time limit.

To clarify, our use scenario is a public open access machine which we intend to be used by our visitors for short business purposes; we have the inactivity time limit set very low, but want to also have a hard time limit at which point the browser resets, regardless of activity.

Is there a module or means of configuring Porteus in this way?
