How to install the e-mail software
Hello.
I am a Japanese, the name is Tooru Oka.
The Porteus XFCE v3.1 with the installation VMware Workstation 11 of the virtual environment, we have to prepare a virtual machine.
Host OS is Windows 10 Home 64-bit.
So I have a question, but Porteus XFCE v3.1 virtual machine, there is no e-mail software.
Will you can that you install the e-mail software to Porteus XFCE v3.1 virtual machine.
If if it is possible to install, please teach that way.
Thank you.
Once you receive the advice, and then you very helpful, and I am very pleased.

Re: How to install the e-mail software
You can choose whichever email software you like... I would love to be able to use alpine for all my email needs, but so far, posting not works, I have to log in via browser to do so, which of course, sucks.
I prior used Mozilla Thunderbird which is a neat program, but bloated and it slows down the whole system, unlike with alpine, you not even realize the difference between alpine running, or not running. And email reading is fine.
Installation is quite simple with Porteus, you just create a xzm module from the Slackware package you want to install and include that in your Porteus setup...
But since I not used any virtual machine in years, I am quite rusty when it comes to helping you how to best change the virtual machine for Porteus / add a program to that VM...

Re: How to install the e-mail software
Hello.
Thunderbird I was able to install.
Thank you.
Currently, we use as a virtual machine and then install the Porteus LXQt v3.1 to VMware Workstation 11.
Since the monitor resolution is very small at 800x600, Why not be able to use this as a full screen.
Thank you.

Most of us rather work with virtualbox. But maybe someone will come to your rescue.pure wrote:Hello.
