Vbox error message in porteus xfce 3.1:

The VirtualBox Linux kernel driver (vboxdrv) is either not loaded or there is a permission problem with /dev/vboxdrv. Please reinstall the kernel module by executing
'/etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup'
as root. If it is available in your distribution, you should install the DKMS package first. This package keeps track of Linux kernel changes and recompiles the vboxdrv kernel module if necessary

looks like you have old devel module activated (from 3.0.1 release).

i runs the last porteus kde 32. the same error. My devel.xzm is the last module.

Do you remember if the vbox builder downloaded devel.xzm for you automatically before building the vbox package? This was my case.

Solved.
Virtualbox Works.
But the
www.porteus.org say PORTEUS 3.0 RELEASED. Its old. forum.porteus..org is ok.

This is not solved for me. Sorry for taking time. I will be able to test that this weekend. For this, I will have to boot in porteus xfce or lxqt 1) with and 2) without the devel.xzm and build vbox in always fresh mode. I have the impression that vbox 3.1, if not provided with the 3.1 devel.xzm will fetch 3.0 devel.

hi francois have you done this cli command to rebuild the virtualbox kernel module? /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup,i have unpacked the devel.xzm and seem ok, the kernel is the last that run.
