Themes and other eye-candies

Good pm,

Is it advisable to install the themes and icons from the source of msb??? do the 1.7.x and 1.8.x mate themes and icons play nice with each other...
though the icons I got form the opendesktop can be install in mate but the other icons are missing but it was nice. The drawback is its a KDE icons.I cant find the mate version..hehheh:D

The the themes and icons are version independent. You should have no trouble mixing them.
How do i become super user?

I had no problems with mixing the different versions.
I also use the Mate menu editor, it's handy for setting up a menu.
