DeadBeef does not play .m3u streams anymore

1. Deadbeef doesn't support .pls and .m3u streams correctly anymore when I go to "File" and "Open file(s)". When I go to to the music folder where I have my .pls and .m3u files and click on them, .pls works, however, .m3u doesn't. All this worked flawlessly on Porteus 2.1. Mate.
I downloaded the Mate 32-Bit version.

2. I don't know if it's intentional, but the graphics of the main volume control slider and gnome mplayer volume control sliders are unfinished, in my opinion. It's just an aesthetic problem, the volume control sliders functionality is fine, as far as I can tell.

Thank you,

Johannes

This is odd since nothing changed in this department. I didn't upgrade to deadbeef 6.1 because of some bugs I was having. You should be loading .m3u and .pls files by the playlist menu since they are playlists.

I just compiled the latest git version od deadbeef which also did not play the .m3u file. The plugin loads but no play. Will dig deeper.

Thank you for checking out the problem. The funny thing is that it worked on Porteus Mate 2.1, 32 Bit. Opening it as a file or a playlist didn't make a difference either.

I have to say it has to do with the particular m3u file or pls file you are streaming. I just came home and booted into 64bit MATE to sort this out. I downloaded an m3u and pls file, loaded them into the deadbeef playlist and they both played perfectly!

Just tried both of your links. I agree, they work, however, why is it that didn't / don't I experience any of these problems with 2.1? :%)
Also, tried it with VLC on Windows 7 32-Bit. It also functions there.
