I noticed you cannot reboot with MATE is there any way to mix the CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE and CTRL+ALT+DEL to exit?

Hi ralcocer
to reboot MATE:
system > shutdown > restart .. If this won't work,open a konsole (root)
and type: shutdown now -r

You could use the keyboard shortcut assignment tool to assign a combination to the 'reboot' command. I always use a console and simply type: reboot

A new user should look under the 'System' menu for the shutdown button. You are then presented with the option to reboot.

In the next release I will exchange the logout button on the toolbar for a shutdown button. Fanthom already mentioned this, but the change requires an update to the global mate config file which would overwrite any user changes already made.

I am sorry but until I find out how to modify the desktop I am going to put it aside.

I 've already given you the information you need.

Your choice but I will explain the same thing in more detail just in case.

System/Preferences/Keyboard shortcuts
Then at the bottom click to add a new keyboard shortcut. In the 'command' type: init 0
Once you have added it you can select the new line and choose your keyboard shortcut. If you want ctrl + alt + del you will need to change the existing one to something else.

Since this is incorrectly posted under 'bug reports' I am moving it to the MATE desktop section.
