you could enable crash reporter?

If not, is it a particular site you visit or a site that needs something like Java?

What version of firefox and what hardware?

Minimum requirements for newer firefox versions are:
Pentium 4 or newer processor that supports SSE2
How do i become super user?
Wear your underpants on the outside and put on a cape.
