Google Chrome CRASHING X, HARD

Post#1 by tvespasian » 29 Dec 2014, 23:56

Running Porteus 3.1 on dual core Athlon II based e_Machine w nVidia 6xxx based GPU, Google Chrome 39.0.2171.95-x86_64-1, built w stock Slackbuild from slackware64-current AND the stock Chrome.xzm from dl.porteus.org both crash X and KDE so badly as to force power cycling to restore system control. Chrome has been deleted, w an Opera and Firefox substitution, so strongly suspect its an issue w Chrome libraries, likely their Pepperflash implementation causing problem.

I can confirm that look here: http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php?f=117&t=4108. I have also tried older chrome versions, which also do not work, but all of them work on porteus 2.1.
