Kernel panic - Virtualbox

Post#1 by Slaxmax » 10 Nov 2013, 00:21

I once wrote about a bug in porteus 2.1-i486 (maybe kernel) with my PC motherboard Asrock N68-s, Athlon II X3 425, 4GB DDR2.
In this PC virtualbox locking system and scrambles the screen.
But on another PC Phenom II DDR3 X4/6GB works very well, with some rare crashes but not related to virtualbox.
So I compiled the latest stable kernel 3.11.7 and installed virtualbox which worked well in the first pc Athlon II X3. But now another pc Phenom does not boot anymore. Lock the screen after loading the modules and no shows error and after ~30 seconds, turn off the monitor. I've tried to boot texmode and other cheats but does not work. Now the only PC to boot and work perfectly with virtualbox is the Athlon.
What do I do? trash? :D

Finally after many kernel panic I found a kernel that did not give errors. For now.
I compiled the kernel 3.2.51 longterm and seems to work on both computers (inclusive virtualbox).
