Kiosk Doing SNMP Scan on Network?

We put in a Porteus Kiosk unit on one of our networks and started getting alerts from a few devices indicating unauthorized SNMP access attempts from the Kiosk. Usually we see this from devices that are doing network scans looking for SNMP devices. Is this something expected from the Kiosk related to, perhaps, printers? If so, can we turn off this functionality some how?

Hello phite,

Here is an answer:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/redhat- ... 00055.html

You'll have to unsquash 10-printing.xzm to get original /etc/cups/snmp.conf:
http://porteus-kiosk.org/public/3.7/

then edit it and include this file in a new module (e.g. custom_settings.xzm) . Finally remaster kiosk ISO.
Please follow this doc:

Thank you.
