Dymo 450 Turbo with continuous paper

We are trying to set up a kiosk to print on receipt/continuous paper using a Dymo 450 Turbo but are having some unusual problems. No matter what page size we select we always get 2 batches of paper printing out. One is the page length that we set as the paper size in both CUPS and in firefox plus ~11inches and the next page is just 11 inches and is constant. I would expect to either always just print out the length of paper defined as the page size or print until the last line of text and stop so the paper could be torn off. I tried several things in Firefox and CUPS but I can't seem to get it right. Any ideas?
PS: This is the first real issue I think I had with Porteus. Everything else has been rock solid and works awesome.
