IPv6 Support Porteus Kiosk

Post#1 by der-manu » 27 Sep 2016, 14:16

Hi there. I really do like Porteos Kiosk. I recently made a Test-Installation on a Site with ds-light (native IPv6, Carrier grade NAT for IPv4) well. IPv4 sucks. IPv6 traffic is handeled 10xfaster. I enabeld root login an would have enabeld it. But the basic IPv6 related ip tools where not available. Is there a Roadmap for IPv6 support?

Hello der-manu,

IPv6 seems to be not very popular yet. This is second request in last two years for this feature. I have no plans to introduce support for it in the kiosk right now.

Thanks.

I'll throw another request into the mix...looks like we're up to about 3/year :)
This would make connecting to kiosks behind firewalls without having to manage a 3rd party's hardware much more capable.

Any update on this?

Best
