Hello,
We are attempting to put together some kiosks that use a usb wifi adapter but are struggling to find a device that works with Porteus Kiosk, even ones with kernel support, can we get a copy of the kernel .config to see what drivers are included?
We have tried and failed with:
ID 7392:b822 Edimax Technology Co., Ltd EW-7822ULC 802.11ac Wireless Adapter [Realtek RTL8812AU]
ID 0bda:b812 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL88x2bu [AC1200 Techkey]
ID 0846:9050 NetGear, Inc. A6200 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wireless Adapter [Broadcom BCM43526]
Success (but no 5ghz support, so of limited use for us, but maybe will help someone else?)
ID 2717:4106 Xiaomi Inc. MediaTek MT7601U [MI WiFi]
We'd like to try this but would like confirm that it is included in the kiosk kernel:
https://linux-hardware.org/?id=usb:13b1-003e
USB 13b1:003e
Kernel config settings:
CONFIG_MT76_CORE
CONFIG_MT76x0U
CONFIG_WLAN
CONFIG_WLAN_VENDOR_MEDIATEK
Any help would be appreciated as we'd like to use the stock kernel and not need to compile our own.

Driver Support - USB Wifi
Hello Csyperski,
Kiosk kernel has all network drivers included. Firmware may be missing so you should use wired connection and inspect the dmesg log over SSH.
USB wifi is in the sad state overall. In the past I have created custom ISO with following 3rd party wifi drivers included:
New drivers are added with a delay to the kernel sources (kernel 6.2 is not released yet):

But then manufacturers release the new chipset models and the circle repeats ...
Thanks

Try the Panda PAU0D. It worked for me out of the box. And its working for me today. Find it on Amazon, of course.

Hi, I want to ask about Kiosk version of Porteus a little bit since I saw that there is a driver for Realtek 8192eu wifi device there. My questions were:
1. Can I use Porteus Kiosk for my own pc having 32 bit cpu[edited] too?
2. Does the newest Porteus Kiosk include driver for Realtek 8192eu wifi device?
Thanks.
