Hi there, as i'm trying to get some games working with Porteus i made a bundle of SDL2-modules which makes it easier to get the desired dependencies. You can get the bundle here (~1.3 MB): https://porteus.rw-net.de/x86_64/modules/SDL2-x86_64-bundle.xzm I consist of the following libs which could be ...

Opera Stable

Hi,

new module approach: Opera stable for x86_64 built from the official RPM including localizations. I will keep this updated when a new version is released.

Porteus came and (almost) kicked Windows

I short praise for Porteus: I started with Porteus 3.2.2 a few weeks ago to give an old thinclient a second life as "surf station". I ended up with Porteus running on my ThinkPad T510 and even an my desktop machine for daily use. :thumbsup: Windows is not completely gone cause i have not replaced my...

@brokenman
regarding to the cp manpage, -u updates files which are "newer" in the source or are completely missing at the destination...should be the way we want it to work :)

LibreOffice 5.4.3 + Language Packs

Hi, i've build some language packs modules for LibreOffice 5.4.3 based on the official rpm language packs. They includes the language packs for all components and the dictionary. At the moment only french and german language packs are available, i could build other ones if anyone is interested. Just...

Proper Way to Mount a Drive Permanently

Hi, thanks for that hint. I noticed that there is a tutorial and a thread regarding rc.local tweaks. It would be nice if a small tutorial about using the rc.local for mounting samba-shares could be added this thread...for those who are not that familiar with the russian language. i could write down ...

NcFTP 3.2.6

Hi, my first attempt to build a small module mostly for get used to how it works. You can get the older NcFtp 3.2.5 via USM, but not the current version. As i really like this feature-rich, fast commandline ftp client i made this module. See here for further details. http://porteus.rw-net.de/x86_64/...

New Slax is Comming !

Hi, i used slax a long time ago and i´m pretty happy to see it updated. For me it is a bit too "basic", i don´t wont to fiddle around wifi and so on. apt-get may be a nice approach, but i prefer the module approach that porteus (and the old slax) uses. I can go back to a "clean" install with all app...
