3.2.2 migration to 4.0 problem.

Porteus Setting Centre - PSC: I use changes module built here. OS, too saves a "psc settings.xzm" during shut down. This particular module (loopx in memory) introduces a "reiserfs" error message, Kernel warning. Boot message clean, after removing this psc settings module. May be 'file system' creati...

3.2.2 migration to 4.0 problem.

jssouza, a few more.... Archive Manager fails to unpack ISOs. File name does not get highlighted on "rename". You may love to eliminate all those useless 'cinnamon warning messages' during shutdown. Otherwise Cinnamon offer is very impressive, very fast boot and stable. cheers. Thanks again for your...

ArchLinux packages manager for Porteus

Neko, TM (Slax) has replaced rc0.d rc6.d and rcS.d files in /etc/systemd. These new scripts along with the shutdown script inside initrfs, are helping a systemd driven Debian offshoot, a very clean shutdown. Sorry for persisting with this, I would like to see Aporteus, doing the clean shutdown. I us...

Seeing your tremendous effort, I thought I will make an attempt to compile a new custom Kernel using Debian stretch config file, yesterday. Disaster? 1)I did not take your warning about "space". I set up a 15GB ,ext4 partition, only to find to my dismay, that it is inadequate for the compile process....

Neko, you are too fast, amazing to see, outputs like in an automated mass producing facility. Your offering, Kernel 4.4.104 worked like a charm in my old Laptop. FVWM, lean at 180 mb memory usage ,when compared to stiff 700 mb for Gnome/Budgie. m/c runs as fast as in Porteus 3.2.2. [ 29.156] Build O...
