9p kernel module?

Porteus is running as a KVM guest on an Ubuntu 16.04 host. When I do mount -t 9p -o trans=virtio,version=9p2000.L /hostshare /hostshare I get mount: unknown filesystem type '9p' Obviously I am missing the 9p kernel module. Is this available in a package or is there another recommended way of sharing...

Best way to get encrypted swap

I've set up Porteus to use an encrypted changes file using the Porteus File Save Manager. I would also like encrypted swap file or partition. Is there an easy or recommended way to do this? I tried creating a swap file within the encrypted "changes" space but swapon fails with "input/output error". ...
