There is no module building device. I am not shure there ever will be.
At https://github.com/Tomas-M/linux-live/b ... mium/build, you can see how the chromium slack bundle is made. Similarly you can make your own bundle.

Have you considered filtering the email to a folder or the trash?

Saving google account settings

Does anyone know how to save google account information in persistence (which files to save), so that I do not have to log in to google from a web browser upon every boot? The problem is every time I log in to google (say, gmail) from a new login session, it sends me a mail asking me to verify if it...

[Solved] Dropbox?

ImportError: No module named pygtk
The error message is slightly misleading. python gtk2 bindings need both pygtk-2 as well as pygobject-2. python gtk-3 bindings need only pygobject3.

Install pygobject-2.28.6 for your architecture from slackware, and see if it works.

Porteus 3.2 for Raspberry Pi 2 and 3 (armhf)

The number of downloads of porteus arm after moving to mediafire (as shown by mediafire stats), just crossed 100. Even though I have not received much feedback with respect to bugs, improvements etc. Would you like a raspberry pi variant of the upcoming porteus 4? If yes, which desktops would you pr...

/etc/profile.d/*.sh executed twice

This happens because both the non-login shell startup script as well as the login shell startup script end up calling all scripts in /etc/profile.d guest@porteus:~$ cat .bash_profile # Use settings from ~/.bashrc if [ -f ~/.bashrc ]; then source ~/.bashrc figuest@porteus:~$ cat .bashrc # Setup color...

Install latest Chromium instead of Chrome in Porteus kiosk 32-bit 3.7.0

jssouza, I appreciate your help, but could you instead of feeding us - teach us how to find food? How do you determine part of which package is certain library? [root:/home/guest]# usm -s libcairo-gobject.so.2 ----------------------------- Are you searching for a library file? libcairo-gobject.so.2...

Poll: What's your (other) favorite distro(s)?

Personnally, I like Elementary OS for the look and the fact that it is ubuntu based. A big package pasture. However, I would like it to be as reactive as maniable and flexible as porteus. I had pantheon desktop built on top of cinnamon. (with right click, gala the pantheon window manager does not h...

LXDE for Porteus 3.2.2 x86_64

@raja, this display behavior isn't related to LXDE, but probably to 002-xorg module. Yes, I think so too. @raja Could you time it the next time? I checked at my end and the screen turns off exactly after 10 mins of inactivity. xset -q The output of this command shows: DPMS (Energy Star): Standby: 6...

LXDE for Porteus 3.2.2 x86_64

Thank you Raja.

I will bring an update with your inputs soon.

Regarding gnome mplayer, it was added as a gui frontend because 002-xorg has mplayer as the media player. The good news is that in the next version of porteus we will have mpv as the default player.
