keepassx error

Ed, you have them now , but you wouldn't have them with stock porteus. (no additional modules activated) You have activated other (Qt) modules in the meantime, right? So this is simply a description of how to get "keepassx" to work in (stock) porteus. EDIT run keepassx as guest in terminal ( or from...

keepassx error

Hi Ed Blaze's solution is the easiest - imo I may add some tips how to troubleshoot those kind of problems. Boot stock porteus and install e.g. keepassx, if it doesn't start open a terminal and try to start the programm. It will show what is missing - libQtXml.so.4 in this case iirc Now search the s...

USM bug reports

Ed, why you choose 0.4.4 newest one is 2.0.3 IMPORTANT - bear in mind that i'm on 32 Bit not 64 Bit so folders might be named lib64 in your case. However, what i had to do to get keepassx running: Link the missing files root@porteus:/usr/lib# ln -s /usr/share/copasi/lib/libQtXml.so.4 libQtXml.so.4 r...

USM bug reports

I would not call this a USM bug. It was (it's working now) clearly the server who delivered a wrong/corrupted file and because of rsync every up to date server would have the same. Changing the server has no advantage in this case. btw the default (mirrors-slackwarepatches) is set to Brazil..., pers...

Porteus-v3.2.2 bug reports here

Hello port Out of curiosity i commented out the MANPATH line in /etc/profile > log out/in > "echo $MANPATH" shows nothing now > copied some man files (folder) into /usr/local/share, and BINGO they were displayed. (and also the nvidia man files which were not displayed previously) Please test by your...

Porteus-v3.2.2 bug reports here

I had the same problem with some man files (nvidia)
I could read them if i did a "export MANPATH=/usr/share/man/" for example.

But because this is only a temporary solution, i added the needed path in:
/etc/profile at the "export MANPATH=" line

[SOLVED] Misterious wifi issue

As a start point, the search term "best wifi setup for an overcrowded event"
reveals a lot of (good?) results. :)

Have a nice day

( I'm off; playing some Skyrim.. :) )

[SOLVED] Misterious wifi issue

I never did setup / installed the wifi for such an event, so it would be new for me too
to find out what works best.

I cannot help you with that, I'm sorry.
