I've run Porteus with Windows 7 and Windows 10 for yrs with no problem. Not Mate and I don't know if that makes a difference. My porteussave.dat file is on the hard drive and gets updated everytime I shutdown and I save files to the hard drive from Porteus with no problems. Not sure what could have ...

Actually this shouldn't require a fix. /opt/porteus-scripts should be a part of your $PATH variable.
