Stuck into debian with grub2

# has the effect of stopping the interpretation and is reserved for comments, it was not a problem before. I understand the concept and use it myself but maybe there is a bug in your system and it's tripping over it for some reason. It takes a sec to move it and see if it helps. Thanks for the sugg...

Stuck into debian with grub2

Try putting the "#2 pour 40_custom première entrée." on a separate line, above or below, the GRUB_DEFAULT=4 line. Or maybe this will help. OK! I found the solution. I had to link a PPA to grub-customizer. sudo add-apt-repository ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer Than I did: sudo apt-get update N...

Porteus affecting Windows 7

I've run Porteus with Windows 7 and Windows 10 for yrs with no problem. Not Mate and I don't know if that makes a difference. My porteussave.dat file is on the hard drive and gets updated everytime I shutdown and I save files to the hard drive from Porteus with no problems. Not sure what could have ...

Does this explain it clearly? Yes. :) Basically we are discussing your use of the word "required" for ncmprhnsbl's solution to the update-flash function on 3.2.2. Technically it is not "required" so long as users remember/know to use a different form of the su command. Or edit the path as Blaze has...

Actually this shouldn't require a fix. /opt/porteus-scripts should be a part of your $PATH variable.

3.2.2 migration to 4.0 problem.

Archive Manager fails to unpack ISOs. It seems File roller (The archive manager in cinnamon) can unpack ISOs. Ed_P , could you explain please? The link for your reference is here: http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php?t=7342&start=15 Thanks. From my limited experience it seems the archive manager ...

try : su -l I don't need to do that with 4.0. And it's path doesn't have /opt/porteus-scripts in it. guest@porteus:~$ su Password: root@porteus:/home/guest# echo $PATH /usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/usr/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/lib64/java/bin root@porteus:/home/guest# update-flash [OK] User i...

Actually this shouldn't require a fix. /opt/porteus-scripts should be a part of your $PATH variable. It is in the 3.2.2's guest mode but not root mode. guest@porteus:~$ echo $PATH /usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/games:/opt/porteus-scripts:/usr/lib64/java/bin:/usr/lib64/qt/bin:/usr/lib64/java/bin:...
