Firefox ESR

Oh, thanks so much. But to do that you need to respond to the email I sent you earlier via the forum's email link. Then we can respond email to email and I can attach the file. Would it make it's way to x86_64/Porteus-v3.2.2/modules/ folder (perhaps replacing the multitude of other Firefox versions...

Please what are steps to suspend the computer properly in Porteus 3.2.2?
Close the lid works as does not keying in anything for a period of time works for me. Opening the lid and touching a keyboard key activates my system.

tor: undefined symbol: evutil_secure_rng_set_urandom_device

Then it took more than hour to update all USM databases. See http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=7000 and run sesm.sh. picked "Activate" but it shown an error. :%) I think that package installation process should be simplified for inexperienced Linux users. What fun would that be? :D

It looks like brokenman's suggestion may be the only option at this point. :happy62:

I agree. Download the ESR that you want, put it in the /tmp folder then run update-firefox in a terminal window. :good:

tor: undefined symbol: evutil_secure_rng_set_urandom_device

Well, my interpetation of the patch is it pertains to the configure.ac file that the tor app uses and the lines highlighted need to be changed or added. The red lines deletes, the green adds. As to where the configure.ac file is located appears to be the key question. Is there a /home/guest/.tor fol...

Hello postcd,

Did you update the USB databases before you did your tor search? My system is a x86_64 and USM shows a tor-0.2.9.9 and a tor-0.3.0.10 version.

A way to reset USM within a save file?

Interesting. Apparently the save.dat used with changes= is different than the save.dat used with changes=EXIT. Or maybe your changes exceeded the size of your save.dat at some point and the save.dat got corrupted. That's happened to me in the past. :( One thing I see is your /tmp folder is huge comp...

A way to reset USM within a save file?

LightningShock please post the output of this command: cat /proc/cmdline I don't think you have a save.dat file and if you do you're not using it. If I boot in Always Fresh mode, ie no save.dat file, I get this also. guest@porteus:~$ ls -l /mnt/live/memory/images/changes/ /bin/ls: cannot access '/m...

Error in Porteus-installer-for-Windows prevents making bootable USB

What skills are required?

Another option could be to make the Windows install a txt file with instructions to use Easy2Boot. :good:

printing-3.2 for porteus 3.2

Suggestion: When naming modules with dates put the year before the month and the day after the month.

Why? When one has multiple downloads of similar modules they sort in date sequence easier. :happy62:
